KITKIT TABLETS PROJECT
From December 2020 to January 2022, CASEE in collaboration with Arusha District Council implemented a school e-learning project at Enaboishu Academy. The newly Enaboishu Academy is anticipated to be a model public primary school owned by Arusha District Council. The one-year e-learning pilot project focused on improving literacy and numeracy among preprimary to standard three pupils . A total of 55 tablets installed with ‘Kitkit’ learning programme and its accessories were supplied to this school. Both teachers and members of school committees were trained on how to manage and proper use of Kitkit learning program on teaching and learning process. Other interventions included awareness creation on child protection issues to pupils, teachers and non-teaching staff; and formation of school child right club. A total of 144 preprimary children aged 3–6 years, and 170 standard one to three children aged 7-9 years, have benefited directly with this project by March 2022. The project was funded by Child Fund Korea.
